These Terms govern your use of CAD Standards Assistant, operated by Matthew Tanner. By using the application, you agree to these Terms.
1. Service scope
CAD Standards Assistant is a read-only reference tool that may return a recommended CAD layer name, color, linetype, and lineweight for supported architectural, civil, electrical, and mechanical drawing elements. It does not open, inspect, edit, certify, approve, or issue drawings.
2. No professional advice or certification
Results are informational and may be incomplete or inaccurate. They are not architectural, engineering, construction, legal, safety, code-compliance, or other professional advice. A qualified person must verify the source drawing and any conclusion before relying on it for design, procurement, construction, fabrication, permitting, or life-safety decisions.
3. Technical limitations
The catalog covers a limited set of disciplines and drawing elements. A requested element may not have a match, and catalog entries may not reflect every project, client, jurisdiction, or later standards revision. A no-match result intentionally contains no invented layer values.
4. Your inputs
You are responsible for the discipline and drawing-element text you provide. Do not submit personal, confidential, regulated, or project-sensitive information that is unnecessary for a catalog lookup. The tool does not require a drawing file.
5. Acceptable use
You may not use CAD Standards Assistant to violate law or third-party rights, introduce malicious input, evade service limits, probe infrastructure, disrupt the service, or use results as a substitute for required professional or project review.
6. Availability and changes
We may modify, limit, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the service. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, compatibility with every requested element, or preservation of any result.
7. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted operation.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CAD Standards Assistant and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, loss of data, lost profits, project delay, or decisions made from application results. Where liability cannot be excluded, aggregate liability will not exceed the amount you paid to use CAD Standards Assistant during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
9. General terms
If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the agreement for this service, subject to any separate applicable ChatGPT platform terms.
10. Changes and contact
We may update these Terms by posting a revised effective date. For questions, contact matthew@gcloud.cadspire.com.
