This policy explains how CAD Standards Assistant, operated by Matthew Tanner ("CAD Standards Assistant," "we," or "us"), handles information when you use the application with ChatGPT.
1. Information processed
When you request a CAD layer recommendation, the service processes the supported discipline and drawing element supplied to the tool. It returns a catalog-backed recommendation that may include a layer name, color, linetype, lineweight, match status, and catalog source. The tool does not request, retrieve, upload, or modify drawing files.
We may also process limited operational information such as request timestamps, error details, processing duration, and security or rate-limit events. Do not put personal, confidential, or project-sensitive information in the drawing-element field.
2. How information is used
Information is used to look up the requested element in the Tanner Press CAD Reference Catalog, return structured results to ChatGPT, maintain service reliability, prevent misuse, troubleshoot errors, and comply with legal obligations. We do not use tool inputs to sell advertising.
3. Storage and retention
The application performs an in-memory catalog lookup and is not designed to create user records or persist tool inputs. Limited operational records may be retained by service providers only as reasonably necessary for security, reliability, troubleshooting, and legal compliance.
ChatGPT and its platform providers may handle your conversation and attachments under their own terms, settings, and retention practices. Those platform practices are outside this policy.
4. Service providers and disclosure
We may use ChatGPT platform, infrastructure, hosting, and security providers to operate the service. They may process information only as needed to provide those functions. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, or in connection with a business transfer.
5. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including bounded inputs, validation, and a read-only tool design. No service can guarantee absolute security. You remain responsible for keeping unnecessary sensitive information out of tool inputs.
6. Your choices and rights
You can avoid application processing by not invoking the tool. Depending on your location, you may have rights to ask about, access, correct, or delete personal information we control. We may need to verify a request before acting on it.
7. Children
CAD Standards Assistant is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
8. Changes and contact
